Reusability

Share And Reuse Experiments

The experiment database serves as an online experiment repository, allowing researchers to reuse (large amounts of) previously stored experiments. As such, it becomes easier to do large and detailed studies involving large numbers of experiments, or to follow up on previous research.

For instance, when developing new algorithms, they can be easily compared to existing algorithms, by asking for their results on the same datasets. Furthermore, by additionally asking for known properties of the datasets (e.g. size or class skew), one can easily find out on which types of data the new algorithm performs particularly well, or badly.
